What is a User?
Get started now: How to Add or Manage User user guide
The built-in Auditing ensures that all sensitive User operations are to the Nodinite Audit Log.
A user within Nodinite is matched by IIS to an existing Windows Domain account or local Windows user when operating in Workgroup mode. All non-Windows users must provide valid Windows domain credentials to pass the login procedure. If an end-user is not explicitly defined or part of a Windows AD Groups he/she is not allowed entrance to use Nodinite.
Example list of users from the Users - Overview
Here are som quick facts:
- End-users must be explicitly named in the Users collection or be a member of a named Windows AD Group
- The Users belong to the same Windows Domains/Forest where Nodinite is installed
- You must be a member of the Administrators role to manage Roles (and all other administrative parts/objects).
- Users must be part of at least one Role in a Log View and/or a Monitor View to be able to work with Nodinite.
Users can be part of the Administrators Role.
The principle of least privilege should be honoured.
