DaysToKeepMessageDataDefault - System Parameter
The DaysToKeepMessageDataDefault System Parameter determines The default number of days to keep data in an event. This value will be assigned to new messagetypes as its default. The Logging Service must be restarted if this value is changed.
We at Nodinite recommend that you set a small number like 14 days (default proposition in the Install and Update Tool).
Note: If you log more than you delete, you will eventually fill the Log Database until it either gets slow, or out of disk space.
Nodinite does not have a problem with large volumes of logged data since we create new databases as the old ones gets to large. You will eventually get into the problem, or at least the administration with having disk space for all that you choose to keep. Nodinite has a very clever solution to help you keep what matters and that is by deleting events based on content (actually the datatype for the message, which we happen to call a MessageType).

Changing a value for any of the pre-defined System Parameters is described in the generic 'How do I change the System Parameters' article.
