Application Roles are used within Log Views and Monitor Views to grant business Roles access to Nodinite. There is a specific article for the 'What is a Role' topic. Make sure to read and understand the basic concepts before continuing.
The available functionality for Managing Roles are:
- Add new Role
- Edit existing Role
- Delete Role
- Restore deleted Role
- Filter the list of Roles
- Copy API URL for use in custom Reports
To Edit an existing Role; Click on the link in the Name column or open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Edit" menu item.
Click on the 'Edit' menu item to edit an existing Role.
To Delete an existing Role; Open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Delete" menu item.
Click on the 'Delete' menu item to delete an existing Role.
To Restore a deleted Role; You must first check the "Show deleted Roles " checkbox.
When checked, the deleted Roles are also presented in the list.
To Export an existing Role; Open the menu from the "Actions" button and click on the "Export" menu item. This will open the Nodinite generic Export wizard.
Click on the 'Export' menu item to open the Export Wizard.
Click to open the "Copy API URI" modal; There, you can get the query string to the Nodinite Web API (RESTful).
