Permission Set for Monitor Views

The following permissions exist for the Monitor Views permission set:

Access Monitor

To access the Nodinite Monitor Views; The User must be a member of a Role granted (Allow) access to the Monitor.

NOTE: If the User is a member of any Role where access to the Monitor is denied (Deny); Then the user is blocked access to ALL Monitor Views.

Access right

  1. The Role is set to Allow access to the Monitor.
  2. The Role is set to have different access rights to individual Monitor Views.
    • Allow - Monitor View is visible and accessible to the end-user.
    • Deny - Monitor View is NOT visible or accessible to the end-user.

Execute Action

In the Monitor Views, for end-users in Roles where the Execute Action permission is allowed; The end-user is granted the right to perform Remote Actions on included monitored Resources. The set of available Remote Actions in the Control Center section of the Actions button varies depending on the type of Resource.

  • Inherited - Remote Actions in the Control Center section is visible and operational to the end-user IF the global setting is set with the Allow option; Otherwise, it is not.
  • Allow - Remote Actions in the Control Center section is visible and operational to the end-user.
  • Deny - Remote Actions in the Control Center section is NOT visible or operational to the end-user.

View Metrics

In the Monitor Views, for end-users in Roles where the View Metrics permission is allowed; The end-user is granted the right to view metrics and statistics on included monitored Resources. The set of metrics in the Metrics section of the Actions button is different depending on the type of Resource.

  • Inherited - Items in the Metrics section is visible and operational to the end-user IF the global setting is set with the Allow option; Otherwise, it is not.
  • Allow - Items in the Metrics section is visible and operational to the end-user.
  • Deny - Items in the Metrics section is NOT visible or operational to the end-user.

A Nodinite Administrator can present the Metrics in the Dashboard and within configured Monitor Views.

View History

In the Monitor Views, for end-users in Roles where the View History permission is allowed; The end-user is granted the right to view the alert history on included monitored Resources.

The history, if allowed, can be fetched from multiple places in the Nodinite Web Client.

  • Inherited - Items in the Metrics section is visible and operational to the end-user IF the global setting is set with the Allow option; Otherwise, it is not.
  • Allow - Items in the Metrics section is visible and operational to the end-user.
  • Deny - Items in the Metrics section is NOT visible or operational to the end-user.

The history is limited in time by the System Parameter DaysToKeepMonitorEvents.

Search for alert history for all resources in the Monitor View

View Repository

In the Monitor Views, for end-users in Roles where the View Repository permission is allowed; The end-user is granted the right to view some information about associated Integrations as defined in the Repository Model.

The Repository Model, if allowed, can be viewed from multiple places in the Nodinite Web Client.

  • Inherited - Associated Integrations are available in the Repository Model tab to the end-user IF the global setting is set with the Allow option; Otherwise, it is not.
  • Allow - Associated Integrations are available in the Repository Model tab to the end-user.
  • Deny - Information about the Integrations are NOT available to the end-user.

View Articles

In the Monitor Views, for end-users in Roles where the View Articles permission is allowed; The end-user is granted the right to view Knowledge base articles on included monitored Resources.

The Knowledge base articles, if allowed, can be viewed from multiple places in the Nodinite Web Client.
